Association Annual Dues
It’s time to pay dues.  They’re only $10 per household, but support all of the wonderful RBNA
activities.  The attached envelope is for your dues and luminarias order.  Please return it to your
Block Captain when you pick up your luminarias.  The requested information is for internal use only.
Each Block Captain has a membership roster.  The Email addresses are used to remind members of
special events.

Dearborn Aglow
Congratulations to Karen and Tom Milligan of Alexandrine who were winners in the Dearborn Aglow
competition in 2005.  They attended the awards presentation at City Hall.  Each Holiday Season
homes are judged by the City Beautiful Commissioners.  There are 27 Districts in the City of
Dearborn and up to three winners per District.  Homeowners who win five competitions are
recognized in the Hall of Fame at City Hall.  This year judging will take place on December 16, 17 and
18.  Neighbors are encouraged to decorate their homes and share in the joy of the Holiday Season.

Welcome
In September Dessa Cosma and Ryan King moved into their Cherry Hill home from Austin, Texas;
and were welcomed to the neighborhood at the Annual Meeting in October.

Many Thanks
Thank you to Todd Roberts for volunteering his time to make our RNBA Annual Meeting wine
tasting such a success.  Hopefully this will become an annual event.

Congratulations
Tom Milligan won two First Prize awards with his 1988 Thunderbird Turbo-Coupe this summer: in
August at the All T-Bird Show in Windsor and in September at the Livonia Barn All-Bird Day.

Get Well Wishes
Hope you’re home soon, Don Griffin of Alexandrine.

Ned Notes: Thoughts from our Association President
On October 10th, we held our annual association meeting.  Tom and Karen Milligan were elected as
block captains for Alexandrine.  All other officers and board members were re-elected to their
positions.  I was pleased to see several new faces in attendance and the return of some of our long-
standing residents who were absent from previous meetings.
The short business meeting was followed by an extended social meeting which included a tasting of
wines appropriate for Thanksgiving.  Special thanks to Todd Roberts of Merchants who selected the
wines and answered questions about them.
As we head into the winter season, I would be remiss if I did not alert you to a change in Dearborn
parking enforcement.  This year, whenever snow plowing is needed, cars that are parked on the street
will be towed.  There will be no warnings.  A snow emergency does not need to be declared; if plowing
is necessary, all cars must be moved off the pavement.  This will make it faster and easier for the city
to clear the snow from curb to curb.  I encourage all of you to make sure your vehicles are out of the
way of the plows.

Holiday Luminarias
Holiday Luminarias have been a tradition in Riverbend for over 20 years. Once again, Tim Klecynski
coordinated the ordering and distribution of luminarias.
Lighted Luminarias should be placed in front of homes at dusk on Sunday, December 24th, 2006.
Typically, a home on an average sized lot needs 5 or 6.
Each Block Captain has all the materials you need and the price is still only 50 cents per bag.
Pick up the supplies from your Block Captain.
